Do you set a high value on appearance for dishes? I’m trying to serve my dishes nicely, beautifully and deliciously, but to be honest it’s a bit stressful. In other words, I don’t have a good sense of design as far as the dish setout is concerned.
Fortunately one of my family members does–at least she has a unique sense of design.
One day I asked her to prepare sashimi for dinner. We also had some boiled okra and petite tomatoes. Here’s what she served (except the center cup that was put by me). It’s quite new to me and I like her inspiration very much!
盛り付けについては過去にも書いているのですが、やはり私は「機能派(栄養)」、なかなか見た目に気が回りません。お刺身は、切ったらそのままお皿にスライドして、今の時期なら胡瓜の千切りを添える程度です。まさか、このような盛り付けになるとは…!毎日のことだから、自分はそんなに無理しなくても、誰かの遊び心を面白がる余裕は持っていようと思った夜です。
